How to place other items in the Philips Avent sterilizer
- Make sure all items are completely disassembled.
- Place items in the basket with their openings pointing downwards, to prevent them from filling with water.
- Do not stack the items too closely together. The steam has to be able to circulate around the items to ensure effective sterilization.
Products that are not suitible for the Philips Avent sterilizer
Do not sterilize these items with your Philips Avent microwave steam sterilizer:
- Items that are filled with liquid (e.g. a teether with cooling fluid).
- Electric components from the Philips Avent breast pump.
- Metal products (e.g. the Philips Avent bottle brush).
- Parts that are not suitable for the microwave.
Do not sterilize these items with your Philips Avent electric steam sterilizer:
- Electric components from the Philips Avent breast pump
- Parts that are not suitable for sterilizing, as the electric steam sterilizer will reach temperatures of 100°C / 212°F
