Philips Lumea IPL works best on naturally dark blond, brown, dark brown and black hair. It is not effective on light blond, red, grey or white hair.
Details: IPL works by delivering pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair root. Because darker hair contains more pigment, it absorbs the light more effectively than lighter hair. Lighter hair shades including blond, grey, or red contain little or no pigment, meaning that they do not absorb enough light for effective treatment.
Philips Lumea IPL is designed to help you understand what to expect, with guidance that supports safe and realistic use. For those with suitable hair color, consistent treatments can deliver visible, long-term hair reduction and smoother skin over time.
