Yes, but only when following the recommended precautions. Avoid tanning before your treatment, as it can change your skin tone and affect whether treatment is suitable. After treatment, protect the treated skin from sun exposure while it is temporarily more sensitive.

To ensure safe and effective IPL treatment:

• Avoid unprotected sun exposure (natural sun or tanning beds) for at least 4 weeks before a treatment. This applies to all areas you intend to treat with your Lumea IPL.
• Do not treat freshly tanned or sunburned skin. If your skin has been exposed to unprotected sunlight since your last treatment, perform a skin test before resuming your treatment schedule.
• During your IPL treatment program, protect treated skin from unprotected sun exposure, especially during the first 48 hours after each treatment. If exposure cannot be avoided, protect the treated area with clothing or apply a sun-blocking product with SPF 50 or higher.
• If you have used self-tanning products such as creams and sprays, wait at least 2 weeks before your next treatment and perform a skin test before using your Lumea.
