For chopping onions, use the basket and the onion chopper blade unit.

Cut the peeled onion into two halves, place these halves in the basket, close the lid and push the motor unit to switch the appliance on.

The cut onions fall through the basket into the bowl, preventing them from turning into soggy pulp.
